TonoPach™
The TonoPach™ is a device intended for highly accurate measurements of intraocular pressure (IOP). IOP remains the single most important metric for the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. However, as discovered in a large, randomized, five-year National Institute of Health (NIH) study published in mid-2002, the patient’s central cornea thickness (CCT) is an important and necessary biometric parameter in risk assessment for this patient population.
"Corneal thickness provides new information about the risk of developing primary open-angle glaucoma and we recommend its measurement in the clinical evaluation of patients with ocular hypertension."
Developed with eMotion Pacifica, LLC
The TonoPach’s patented technology combines CCT and IOP in a single, inexpensive, easy-to-use instrument. The TonoPach has been designed to measure intraocular pressure in millions of patients who are presently improperly diagnosed for glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
